A bold new era begins: Orders open for 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ in New Zealand

2025-02-28

February 28, 2025 - A new era of electric luxury has begun in New Zealand, with orders officially opening for the revolutionary Cadillac LYRIQ at www.cadillacanz.com.

The flag-bearer for a new generation of all-electric Cadillac vehicles, the LYRIQ arrives in New Zealand in two well-equipped grades with both offering potent performance, an impressive driving range and a full suite of luxury inclusions.

A genre-defining electric vehicle demands an equally innovative ownership experience, and the LYRIQ delivers, offering a warranty and charging package designed to provide the ultimate peace of mind.

Along with a five-year unlimited-kilometre factory vehicle warranty1, a five-year roadside assistance package and a five-year complimentary scheduled servicing program2, the LYRIQ’s GM battery technology is also covered by an eight-year/160,000km Electric Vehicle Propulsion Battery Warranty.

Complete Ownership Experience – Charging3

To further enhance the ownership experience, Cadillac has partnered with ChargeNet to offer customers a $400 charging credit with every LYRIQ purchase.

ChargeNet is powering New Zealand’s EV future as Aotearoa's leading EV fast-charging network, providing drivers access to over 450 charging points nationwide from Cape Reinga to Bluff.

Cadillac has also partnered with Evnex to supply premium New Zealand-made home chargers to customers. Evnex shares Cadillac's commitment to providing customers with world-leading technology and design, allowing them to charge at home in comfort, and with the smallest possible impact on the grid and our environment.

For customers who purchase a new Cadillac LYRIQ before March 31, 2025,  they can have the New Zealand-made Evnex E2 — a premium 7.4kW single-phase home charger — installed at their home free of charge. Customers who already have a home charger can instead increase their charging credit from $400 to $1200.

The Cadillac LYRIQ isn’t just a game-changing vehicle to drive, it’s a game-changing vehicle to own, too said Jess Bala, Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand.

With GM’s innovative battery technology and impressive driving range, it’s a vehicle ready explore New Zealand, and we wanted to design an ownership package that would help you do exactly that, whether you’re charging at home, or taking advantage of the country’s expanding charging infrastructure.

The LYRIQ is the dawn of a new era for Cadillac, and its refined luxury, spirited performance and elegant design leads the way for the brand’s exciting future in New Zealand.

Cadillac LYRIQ – two luxurious options

Two grades, one impressive vehicle, the LYRIQ’s trim level choices focus largely on the aesthetic signature, rather than significant equipment changes. Luxury models are crafted for a sophisticated journey, while Sport vehicles are designed for expressive power and presence.

As such, the LYRIQ Luxury features subtle chrome highlights that hint at understated elegance, while the Sport models feature a darker, more purposeful motif, including a different grille treatment with dark grille-bar finish, unique wheels with dark inserts, obsidian chrome finishes and dark accents on front and rear fascia, windows, and bodyside mouldings as well as body-colour door handles.

Exterior features common to both models include a Black Crystal front grille, a dual panel power sunroof, a Hands-Free Liftgate, open and close with programmable memory height and Cadillac branded projection light.

Inside, the LYRIQ is a space of luxurious escape, with front seats that offer heating, ventilation and a lumbar massage function, and an AKG Studio 19-speaker stereo system, which includes front row headrest speakers.

Not just the perfect pairing for the LYRIQ’s infotainment system, controlled through a 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display, the AKG Studio system also pairs with the Active Noise Cancellation system, which actively monitors road noise inputs and uses the 19-speaker sound system to mitigate road-induced noise.

Both LYRIQ variants also share the same potent twin-motor AWD powertrain (388kW 610Nm), along with an innovative 102kWh battery from GM, delivering a driving range of 530kms between charges4. A fast charge is capable of delivering up to 131km of range in 10-minutes5.

The Cadillac LYRIQ is available to order now at www.cadillacanz.com.
